Our Responsibilities
- Granting Environmental Clearances: SEIAA Bihar is responsible for evaluating applications for environmental clearances for projects listed in Category ‘B’ of the EIA Notification, 2006.
- Impact Assessment: We analyze the potential environmental impacts of proposed projects and ensure that they comply with sustainable practices before approval.
- Monitoring & Compliance: Post-clearance monitoring of projects to ensure compliance with the prescribed environmental conditions and commitments.
- Environmental Safeguards: Implementing mitigation measures to minimize negative environmental impacts while promoting responsible development.
Our Process
SEIAA Bihar follows a systematic process to evaluate project proposals:
